Collaboration
The NZ EMN has links with other research networks across New Zealand and Australasia.
The Rural Research in Emergency Care Network (RRECN, pronounced “Reckon”) is a new binational initiative supporting research to strengthen emergency care in rural and remote communities across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
We define “rural” broadly—MM2–7 in Australia and U2, R1–R3 in New Zealand’s Geographical Classification for Health—but we actively welcome collaboration from anyone contributing to rural care, including retrieval, trauma, and telehealth teams.

The ED Epidemiology Network uses large scale, routinely collected data to equitably improve emergency department care and save lives across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The PREDICT (Paediatric Research in Emergency Departments International Collaborative) network has established a profile as successful paediatric emergency researchers since 2004 and now provides a research platform for achieving multicentre acute care paediatric research in Australia and New Zealand. As knowledge leaders, PREDICT is also ideally positioned to ensure rapid and successful translation of research outcomes into widespread practice.
